Installation typically runs $9 to $16 per sq ft for floor and standard wall tile, depending on tile size, pattern, and substrate prep. Large format porcelain, natural stone, and intricate patterns (herringbone, basket weave, mosaic borders) sit higher. Demolition, waterproofing, and floor leveling are billed separately. Coastal Tile provides free, written, itemized estimates so you see the real number before committing.
Both. Every wet area we tile is built on a Schluter Systems waterproofing assembly. Kerdi membrane on walls, foam pans on shower floors, sealed inside corners. We don't sub out waterproofing to other trades, and we never tile straight to drywall or cement board without a proper waterproof layer.
Yes. Many clients shop ProSource, Floor & Decor, or buy from designers. We'll install supplied tile and just bill for labor, prep, and materials. We'll also point out anything we're worried about before install (warping, lot variance, rectified vs. non rectified edges).
Everything from 1 inch mosaic to 60 inch large format porcelain slabs. Large format requires a flatter substrate and specific setting techniques. We use back buttering, leveling clips, and large format thinset to hit Schluter / TCNA standards.
